He was predeceased by: his parents, Arsene Riel and Veronica Riel (Paradysz). He is survived by: his sister Rita Chwalek of Adams; his nieces, Theresa Dudziak (Guy) of Adams and Connie Kuramoto (Hugh) of British Columbia, Canada; his great-nieces, Rachael Kuramoto (Glen) of Nova Scotia and Alena Kuramoto of Canada; his great-nephew Nathan Dudziak (Elizabeth) of Adams; and also, Bridgette and Theresa of Canada.
