She was predeceased by: her parents, Kassim Ameen and Margaret Ameen; her husband David I. Sookey; her son Saleem D. Sookey; and her siblings, Dorothy Ali, Julia Haddad, Jeanette Ameen, Richard Ameen and Fuad Ameen.
She is survived by: her sons, David I Sookey, Jr. (Gail) and Richard D. Sookey (Rebecca Wellington); her grandchildren, Sami Sookey, Kasandra Zguta, David I Sookey, III (Kailey), Dino Sookey (Megan), Ramzy Sookey (Meghan), Richard Sookey II, Summer Sookey and Sidney Sookey; her great grandchildren, Aiden, Zenner, Nazeerah, Cameron and Ayla; her siblings, Maneera Ameen, Christine Maher and Edward Ameen (Barbara); and her sister-in-law Mary Ameen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
