He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Gajda and Margaret Gajda (Boulerice); his son-in-law Christopher Martinek; and his parents-in-law, Ralph and Margaret Anthony (Haggerty).
He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginger" Anthony; his children, Angela Gajda (Joe) of Pittsfield, Kelly Martinek of Dalton and Brian Gajda (Missy) of Adams; and his grandchildren, Aiden Deane, Ethan Deane, Connor G. Gajda and Alayna G. Gajda. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
