It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bruce W. Mendel of Adams, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 4, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Bruce leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his brother F. Lee Mendel of Florida; and his parents, Frederick Mendel and Evelyn Mendel (Dubois) of Adams. He is survived by: his wife Theresa (Wrenn); his children, Lisa Mendel (Peter Wagner) and Jeffrey Mendel; his daughter-in-law Lisa; and his grandchildren, Austin Mendel (Ariana Faucher) of Adams and Alison Mendel of Adams. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins.
In lieu of flowers and to recognize Bruce's love of dogs, the family asks that contributions be made in his memory to the Berkshire Humane Society, 214 Barker Road Pittsfield, MA 01201.
