We are sad to announce that on January 29, 2025, Karl T. Smith of Acushnet, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Karl farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Karl is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Smith (Rezendes); his parents, William Smith and Palmeter Smith (Thomas); and his daughter Darlene M. DeMello. He is survived by: his sons, Robert A. Smith (Debbra) of West Wareham and Karl S. Smith (Belinda) of Acushnet. He is also survived by his five grandchildren; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
