He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Lorraine Gelinas (Goulet); his children, Anne Lawless (James) of Hyannis, Charles III (Paola) of Hemet, Sovizzo, Mark (Valerie), Dartmouth, Janet Paquette (Gary) of Middleboro, Peter of Eugene, Philip (Rita) of Acushnet, Myrtle Beach, Daniel of New Bedford and Kevin (Sarah) of Acushnet; his parents, Charles R Gelinas Sr. and Rose Gelinas (Bergeron); his sibling Paul D. Gelinas; and his granddaughter Cassie Gelinas of Rochester. He was also cherished by his 28 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
