He was predeceased by: his parents, José Pereira and Maria of Anunciação Cabral; and his sister Maria Emilia Pereira of Prazeres Costa. He is survived by: his spouse Ivone Pereira (Cunha) of Acushnet; his children, Carlos Pereira (Paula) of Acushnet and Liliana Costa (Daniel) of Acushnet; his siblings, Joaquim Pereira of Brazil and Odete Pereira Couto of New Bedford; his grandsons, David Costa (Dalila), Steven Costa (Ana Rita Alves), Cameron Pereira and Devin Pereira; and his great grandchildren, Gabriel Costa, Matthew Costa, Benjamin Costa, Lucas Costa, Anna Pereira and Sessilia Sol.
