He was predeceased by: his wife Dr. Diana T. Kao. He is survived by: his son Titus; his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Johnson; and his grandchildren, Emily and Jacob Kao.

Despite his Alzheimer's Disease later in life, Bill showed remarkable clarity of thought and curious geniality.
