He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edwin Hjalmer and Anna Victoria Nelson; his wife Brenda G. Nelson of Gardner; his children, Geoffrey C. Nelson, Jennifer Barry and Susan Price; his daughter-in-law Jessica S. Nelson; his grandson Soren Nelson; and his son-in-law Bruce Barry.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Warren's name to the Acton Food Pantry.
