He was predeceased by: his parents, Stacia Caton (Nizwantowski) and Joseph Caton; his former wife Mary Caton (Galaris); his son Robert Michael Caton; and his stepson Percy Heinz.
He is survived by: his wife Ingrid Petra Heinz-Caton; his daughters, Debra A. Caton and Christyne M. Tremblay; his son-in-law Wayne Tremblay of Salem; his grandchildren, Joseph Tremblay (Krystal Chung) of South Boston, Jessica Tremblay of Georgetown, John, Julian and Bella Tremblay of Salem; his great grandchild Brayden Tremblay of Georgetown; his sister Marie A.; and his brother-in-law Richard N. Bois of Salem. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
