He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Allan Smillie and Isabelle Smillie (Wills); his wife Anne Smillie (Mercer); his children, Elizabeth DeArmond of Sarasota, FL, Pamela Smillie of Jackson, NH, Martha Smillie (Kurt Yuengling) of Jackson, NH and Allan Smillie of Acton; and his grandchildren, Renee Conaway of Nashville, TN, Christopher DeArmond of Dallas, TX and Zachary Yuengling of Jackson, NH..
Due to Covid restrictions, there will be a graveside service for the immediate family and a memorial service celebrating Howard's life will be held at a later date.
