He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Dowd (McMahon); his children, Matthew F. Dowd (Julianne) of Shrewsbury and Christina L. Bieniek (Robert) of Worcester; his grandchildren, Meghan, Liam, Brendan and Audrey; and his siblings, James (Valerie Dowd), Daniel (Maryann Dowd), Dolores (Ron Kindel), Agnes (Bob Rutkowski), Michelle (Dick Golden) and Richard Dowd. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
