She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph J. Welch, Jr.; her daughter Christine Katz; and her close friend Ronald O'Brien. She is survived by: her children, Patricia Muse (Howard) of Braintree, MaryEllen Connolly (Michael) of Braintree, Joseph "Jay" J. Welch, III (Laurie) of Abington and Karen Gallagher (Paul) of Ft. Lauderdale; her siblings, Ruth Fernald of Quincy, James Mulcahy and Diane Bruce of Melrose; her grandchildren, Jason Muse, Michael Connolly (Jonathan Lam), Matthew Connolly, John Connolly and Nichole Griswold; her great grandchildren, Dietrich, Carter, Joseph "Joe" J. Welch, IV and Sean Gallagher (Jennifer); and also, Grace, Gunner, Colin Gallagher, Meghan Douglass (Brian), Andrew, Riley, Sabrina, Alexa and Joshua Katz.
