He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmie Phillips (Jewell Phillips) and Jessie Hackworth (T. J. Lewing); his daughters, Carole Ann and Cynthia Lanett Phillips; his siblings, Thelma Anthony (Robert Lee) and Delma Ray "Buck" Phillips; and his siblings-in-law, Mari Beth Phillips and Raymond Remedes.
He is survived by: his son Michael Shaun Phillips of Pineville, LA; his grandson Caleb Patrick Phillips; his stepchildren, Darren and Angela Kerry; his siblings, Douglas "Shorty" Phillips (Kay) of Keithville, LA, Barbara Remedes of Zwolle, LA, Sue Lovitt (Mark) of Many, LA and Debbie Britt of Zwolle, LA.; his nephews, Gene, Glenn, Kevin Phillips, Tony, Thomas, Tim, Terry, Trent and Ryan Anthony; and his niece Renee Anthony Jones. He is also survived by friends and other family members.
