He was predeceased by: his parents, Rube York and Bessie Mae York (Nalls); his mother-in-law Beatrice Hardy; his siblings, Johnny York and Mary Simmons; and his grandchildren, Colby York, Grayson Longoria and Cheydon Boggs.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Hardy York of Zwolle, LA; his children, Renee Longoria of Zwolle, LA, Ruby Cartinez (Dewayne) of Noble, LA, Harvey York, Jr. of Zwolle, LA, Steven York (Brandy) of Noble, LA and Terry York (Katrina) of Bon Aqua, TN; and his sisters, Margaret Green of Dickson, TN and Hazel Cox of Greenwood, AR. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Bethsadia Baptist Church (2051 Port Arthur St, Zwolle, LA 71486). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
