He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Malmay; his parents, Ed Malmay, Sr. and Ethel Skinner; his stepfather Louis Skinner; his son Eddie Dean Malmay; and his siblings, Thomas Malmay, Elouise Malmay and Laverne Matthews.
He is survived by: his children, Tina Malmay of Zwolle, LA. and Michael Malmay of San Antonio, TX.; his stepson Clint Wells (Kathi Well) of Logansport, TX.; his sister Lois Mortzfeldt (Bud) of Stonewall, LA; and his grandchildren, Wendy Kincel of Tennessee, Marty Self, Jr. of Tennessee, Matthew Self of Hornbeck, LA., Brittaney Malmay of Houston, TX., Britany Wells of Logansport, TX. and Colt Wells of Logansport, TX.. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
