She is survived by: her husband William "Billy" Avants; her sons, Mitchell Avants and Matthew Avants; her siblings, Dorothy Ann Young, Carolyn Sue Rollins and James Franklin Mullins; and her grandchildren, Gage, Bailee, Rylie, Caleb, Brooklyn, Baby Girl Avants and Charlie Harrison.
