He was predeceased by : his parents, Samuel V. Reeves and Christine Reeves (Price); his wife of nearly 50 years before her death, Carolyn Reeves (Granger); and his first grandchild-granddaughter Michelle Walters. He is survived by his three children, Stan Reeves, Sr. (Becky) of Zachary, Sandra Reeves of Birmingham, AL, and Johnny Reeves (Patricia) of Clinton, as well 8 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren,

He was a graduate of Baker High School, and a proud veteran of the United States Navy.
