Hempel of Melbourne, FL; his siblings, Ruth Ziehr of Pearland, TX, Bernice Edgett (Norman) of Plainville, KS, August Hempel, Jr. (Violet) of Victoria, TX and Alfred Hempel (Joydell) of Victoria, TX; and his grandchildren, Mitchel Ganey, Morgan Ganey, Meghan Ganey, Samuel Hempel, Nicholas Hempel, Andrew Biggers and Jack Biggers.
