He is survived by: his wife Brenda Smith Ellzey; his children, Scott Ellzey, Beth Ellzey Berteau (Craig), Kevin Ellzey (Kay) and Kenneth Ellzey; his grandchildren, Shea Malbreaugh (Trey), Kristen Dunn (Beau), Leon Jay Ellzey (Susan) and Shelby Roark; his great grandchildren, Skye Dunn, Rhett Dunn, Ella Kate Roark, Brayden Malbreaugh and Noelle Ellzey; his sisters, Sandra Ellzey Bates (Billy) and Missy Ellzey Burton (Larry); and his parents-in-law, Roy L. and Bennie Mae Easley Smith.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. (4230 High St, Zachary, LA 70791). A masonic service was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
