He was predeceased by: his father Jody Deaton, Jr.; and his grandparents, Oliver Jody Sr. and Rosalie Deaton. He is survived by: his wife Dawn Pratt Deaton; his mother Jackie Selser Deaton; his son Gabe Micheal Deaton; his stepson Hunter Lee Mallet; his granddaughter Annalise Faith Mallet; and his brother Darren Deaton (Dayna). He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, and in-laws.
