With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James W. Parks Jr. (Zachary, Louisiana), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. James left this world on April 17, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James William Parks, Sr. and Bertha Stewart Parks; his siblings, Virginia Kleinpeter, Marie Dabadie, Edith Shirah, Dorothy Dozier and Arthur Gaines; and his former wife Peggy Turner Parks.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Boudreaux Parks; and his children, Cindy Bennett (Kelly), Susan Purvis (Ivan), James M. Parks (Shari Medley), Steven Parks (Rebecca) and Adam Scarbrough (Leslie). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Greenwell Springs Baptist Church (19421 Greenwell Springs Rd, Greenwell Springs, LA 70739). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Louisiana National Cemetery (303 W Mt Pleasant Zachary Rd, Zachary, LA 70791).
