He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy "Dot" Aull Nugent Barkley; his parents, Dr. James Wesley Barkley and Iva Manning Powell Barkley of Belzoni; and his brother William "Don" Donald Barkley (Carolyn) of Brandon, Mississippi.. He is survived by: his children, Alison Barkley Williams of Zachary, LA and Wesley Todd Barkley of Ethel, LA; and his stepdaughters, Stacie Nugent Walters (Mike Walters) of Baton Rouge, LA and Kathy Nugent-Arnold (Loyd Arnold) of Austin, TX..
