He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtle Rester and Albert Rester; and his granddaughter Denise Rester. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dot" Rester; his son Ronald Rester (Wanda); and his siblings, Marie Breeland and Rodney Rester (Louise).
Viewing was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Zachary (4200 Main St, Zachary, LA 70791). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens (6213 Groom Rd, Baker, LA 70714).
