He is survived by: his wife Estella Mitchell; his children, Elsey James Mitchell, Jr. (Thelma Nachelle) of Baton Rouge, LA, Donna Mitchell of Dallas, TX and Nicole Langford (Howard) of Atlanta, GA; his granddaughters, Tiffany Davis (Mike) of Hammond, LA, Brittany Wisham (Steven) of Zachary, LA and Courtany Mitchell of Hammond, LA; and his brother Leroy Mitchell of Baton Rouge, LA. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
