It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elon Smelley Jr. (Zachary, Louisiana), who passed away on July 14, 2018, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Nova Dee Smelley; his parents, Elon B. Smelley, Sr. and Beryl Rhodes Smelley Herget; his great grandchild Aiden Babineaux; and also, Raymond R. and Emmie Vick Smelley. He is also survived by his 4 children and their spouses, Buster (Sherry) Smelley, Dianne (Les) Anderson, Debra (Marty) Caruso, Gary (Laurel) Smelley, 11 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.
