He is survived by: his wife Paula Smith; his children, Kelley Smith Hawkins (Stewart Hawkins) of Angola, LA, Ashley Smith Nicholas (Douglas) and Eric Anthony Smith of Harrison, AR; his siblings, Rita Tracy (John) of Texas and John Smith of Baton Rouge; and his grandchildren, Brittany Stagg, Madison Hawkins, Trey Nicholas, Maverick Hawkins, Maggie Hawkins, Maddox Hawkins, Manning Hawkins, Parker Nicholas, Ryleigh Nicholas and Presleigh Nicholas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association of Baton Rouge.
