He was predeceased by: his daughter Sompong Thanyavong; and his parents, Seng Thanyavong and Hom Thanyavong. He is survived by: his wife Thongsa Thanyavong of Youngsville, LA; and his sons, Thang Thanyavong of Atlanta, GA, Thia Thanyavong of Atlanta, GA, Bay Thanyavong of Atlanta, GA, Kevin Thanyavong of Atlanta, GA, Kelly Thanyavong of Atlanta, GA, Lay Sanavangxay of Youngsville, LA and Brian Thanyavong of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
