He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Johnston and Mabel Roberts Johnston; his brother Joel Johnston; his stepdaughters, Kitty Bordelon and Becky Albright; and his daughter-in-law Melissa Johnston.
He is survived by: his wife Edith Dauzat; his sons, Jerome Johnston (Hattie) and Brian Johnston; his brother Jeffrey Johnston (Alice); and his stepdaughters, Donnette Evans and Tammy Corbett. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
