He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred W Wilson Sr. and Virgie Foster Wilson; his brother Mike; his sister-in-law Jewel Wilson; and the mother of his children Billie Wilson.
He is survived by: his close friend Linda "Kitty" Ducote; his sister-in-law Jackie Watson; his children, Fred "Chip" Wilson (Susan) and Melissa Tellarico; and his grandchildren, Chris Payne (Del), Morgan Kelso (Devin), Christy Bennett (Joe), Todd Hollingsworth, John Wilson (Paige) and Luke Wilson (Haley). He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
