He is survived by: his parents, Hugh Smith and Jettie Smith; his wife Mary Virginia Smith; his granddaughter Megan Leigh Monroe; his wife Sherrelene of Sibley, LA; his daughter Connie Monroe (Jim) of Baton Rouge, LA; his grandchildren, James Christopher Monroe (Lindsey) of Montgomery, TX., Darryl Ryan Monroe (Natalie) of Alexandria, LA. and Tanya Dawn Larson (Kyle) of Temple, TX.; and his great grandchildren, Mallory Larson, Shelby Larson, Ryan Monroe, Raegan Monroe, Parker Monroe and Pierson Monroe.

Pallbearers will be Chris Monroe, Darryl Monroe, Kyle Larson, Paul Ray Jones, Paul Garrett Jones and Brian Guillot Special thanks to caregivers: Faye Dunaway, Judy Guillot, Brian Guillot, Chassity Smith and Hospice TLC The family requests that any donations be given to First Baptist Church, PO Box 97, Wisner, LA 71378.
