She was predeceased by: her husband Harles Hodge; and her granddaughter Lakresha "Sissy" Gilbert. She is survived by: her children, Louise Maughon (Glenn), Shirley Bates (George), David Hodge (Pam) and Nila Sanders; her great great grandchild Sister Sylvia Neal; and her brother Charles Spell (Ava). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren.
