It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jurell Anthony Thames of Winnsboro, Louisiana, born in Jigger, Louisiana, who passed away on February 11, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Curtis Waller and Mertice Thames Waller; his brother Claude "Bunt" Waller; and his daughter Tara Denice Thames. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Garner Thames; his sons, James Thames (Emily) and Stephen Thames (Teri); his sister Rhonda Nielsen (Bill); his grandchildren, Christopher, Hannah, Kenneth, Madonna, Tony and Steven; and his great grandchildren, D. J., Zehiem, Elacia, Cam, Hazel and Olivia. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
