She was predeceased by: her parents, John Curtis Smith and Mary McKenzie Smith; her former husband Jimmy Ellerbe; her siblings, Juanita Gilbert, Lois John, Freddie Andrews, Katherine Meredith, Mary Baker, James Smith, Everett Smith and Herman Smith; and her daughter-in-law Shirley Ferrington.
She is survived by: her sons, Charles Leslie Ferrington (Debbie), Don Ferrington (Diane), Ron Ferrington (Gwen) and Darran Ferrington (Lorrie); and her stepsons, Jimmy Ellerbe, Mike Ellerbe, Mark Ellerbe and Brian Ellerbe. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren and will also be missed by many step-grand and great-grandchildren.
