He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Parks; his children, Donnie Dewayne Parks and Jennifer Parks Ainsworth (Lafayette); and his grandsons, Matthew Derrick Whatley, Christopher Adam Whatley, Randall Ainsworth, Christian Ainsworth, Gregory Dewayne Parks, Kevin Levon Parks, Brandon Scott Parks and Logan Blake Parks. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and friends.
