He is survived by: his wife Margaret Louise Mays Ellerman; his son William David Ellerman (Suzanne Farhoud Ellerman); his grandchildren, David, Claire, Lillian and Colette; his brothers, Gary Ellerman (Kay) and Dan Ellerman (Debbie); and his nieces and nephews, Anna Kate Shurley, Whit Ellerman, Malinda Markland and Laurie Kimi.
Memorials may be made to the First Methodist Church Winnsboro.
