She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie H. Collins and Nola Carpenter Collins; her husband Jerry O. Cooper; and her siblings, Cynthia Boone, Beatrice Cutrer and W. H. Collins.
She is survived by: her son Jerry P. Cooper (Shirley). She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
