He is survived by: his wife Betty Joe Beck Carpenter; his children, James Ronald Carpenter (Ann) of Winnfield, LA, Duane Patrick Carpenter (Tabitha) of Tannehill, LA and Betty Joe Carpenter Morvan (Eric) of Natchitoches, LA; his grandchildren, Ashley E. Carpenter of Winnfield, Casi N. Killian (Caleb) of Natchitoches, Devon D. Carpenter of Monroe, Kori N. Sykes (William) of St. Maurice and Skylar P. White (Draiden) of Natchitoches; his siblings, Bobby W. Frantom of Garland, TX, Robert Louis Frantom (Janice) of Houston, TX, Patricia Adams of Kosciusko, MS and Belinda Upchurch (Wayne) of Tupelo, MS; his siblings-in-law, John Ervin and Eunice F. Beck of Winnfield; and his cousin Rayford Riley of Winnfield. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
