It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Miriam Kelley Skains in Winnfield, Louisiana, who passed away on July 10, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Howard and Florene Gaar Kelley; and her brother James Maxwell Kelley. She is survived by: her daughters, Kelley Skains of Winnfield and Shannon Skains Thompson (Rusty) of Natchitoches; her siblings, Markeita Kelley of Winnfield and Michael'Mike'Kelley (Carol) of Keithville; and her sister-in-law Becky Kelley. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 4 nieces, a nephew, and 7 great nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to lbda.org to help with research for this disease.
