He is survived by: his wife Shirley Whatley Murphy; and his children, Susan Batchelor, Steve Murphy, Patrick Murphy, Debbie Watts, Ricky Whatley, Donna Whatley, Jeff Whatley, Greg Whatley and Natalie Whatley. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
