He is survived by: his wife Linda Thomas of Atlanta; his children, Charls Lavon Thomas of Winnfield, Charla Shelton, Stacy of Winnfield and Dee Carpenter of Goldonna; his grandchildren, Joshua Thomas, Lauren Bryant (Brandon), Sloane Shelton and Sydney Shelton; his great grandchildren, Kaydence Bryant, Madilyn Thomas and Losie Kate Curry; and his stepgrandchildren, Shelley Mims, Jaime Kersh and Sara Farrell. He is also survived by nine step great grandchildren.
