We are sad to announce that on September 21, 2024, at the age of 77, James C. Mercer of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Johnnie Mercer; his brother Danny Mercer; his mother-in-law Maltha Kelly Kyle; and his sisters-in-law, Annette Carpenter and Carolyn Albritton.
He is survived by: his wife Mary K. Mercer; his siblings-in-law, Sara Mercer, Frankie Stewart and Jack Albritton; his children, Jeremy Taylor (Tannehill), Christy Taylor (Moss Bluff), Jordan Mercer of Ouray, CO, Kaitlyn Mercer (Arcadia), Aimee Shea of Ouray, CO, Jamie Mercer (Winnfield) and Chad Mercer (Houston); and his grandchildren, Shiloh, CJ, Tony, Jade, Alexis and Stoney. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
