He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Lawrence Holbrook and Mettie Lucille Steven Holbrook; and his wife Melbalene Lawson Holbrook. He is survived by: his children, Jenny Kaye Hodge (John), Rebecca Folden, Trena Short (Ernie) and Clarence Holbrook (Beth); his siblings, Alice Pender (Frank), Miriam Christian, Ruth Wright, Joy Sullenger, Mettie "Fawnie" Merryman (Larry), Kathy Giesbrecht and Chuck Holbrook (Lori); and his pet Elvis "Buddy". He is also survived by eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
