He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Fred Samuel and Clarice Reeves Flurry; his sister Gloria Flurry Normann; and his friends, Tim Gaar and Jim Hanna.
He is survived by: his close friend Babs Legan of Bossier; his children, Fred Reeves Flurry, Jr. (Rhonda) of Natchitoches, Melissa Flurry of Winnfield, Jennifer Frederick (Keith) of Winnfield and Allison Lightfoot (Joe) of Youngsville; his sister Joan Callaway of Pearland, TX; his grandchildren, Jamieson Frederick, Camille Meister (Chase), Samantha Frederick, Samuel Flurry, Erin Flurry, Brennan Lightfoot, Sarah McKeown (Joshua) and Cooper Lightfoot; his great grandchild Jesse Meister; and his friends, Tommy Harrel, Dicky Heard and Billy Thurman. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews.
