He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lloyd Christman and Lois; his wife Betty Watley; his brothers, Wilbur Christman and Lloyd Christman; his daughter Lois Elizabeth Christman; his grandchildren, Chase Christman and Caroline Christman; his daughters-in-law, Betty Christman and Tammie Christman; his sons, David Christman Jr. (Liz), Jonathan Christman (Kelly), Michael Christman (Becky) and Daniel Christman (Bridget); and his grandsons, Austin Christman, Joseph Christman and Carson Christman. He was also cherished by eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
