He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Eileen Lee Shelton and Henry Clarence Shelton; his daughter Dana Shelton Files; his siblings, Patrick Lee, Thomas Richard Shelton, Jettie Dean Moore and Kay Francis White; and his sons-in-law, Don Vaughan and Terry Dempsey.
He is survived by: his wife Janie Taylor Shelton; his children, Anita Gail Vaughan, Betty Louise Dempsey, Cloy Steven Shelton (Liz) and Lester Max Shelton; his grandchildren, Aaron, Tyler, Jacob, Josh, Drew, Miranda, Olivia, MaKayla, Kaitlyn, Gabriel and Grace; and his siblings, Cele Thompson, Linda Sue Grove, Connie Ferguson, LaWanda Holmes and David Shelton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
