He was predeceased by: his parents, Leda Elizabeth Gorum Smith and Samuel Esley Smith; his daughter Cheri Lynn Smith; his brother Perry H. Smith; his sister-in-law Charlotte Smith; and his brother Jerry T. Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Lynda Beth Emmons Smith; his brother Samuel L. Smith (Mitzi); his grandson Derek Ryan Atwood; and his sister-in-law Sherrye Smith.
