She was predeceased by: her husband David Shelton; her parents, Alon Shirley and Myrtice Shirley; her siblings, A. L. Shirley and Gayle Stewart; and her grandchildren, Brandon Paul Reeves and Vanessa Reeves.
She is survived by: her sisters, Jewel Johns and Linda McCarty (WC); her daughters, Tina Shelton Williford and Cindy Shelton Cook; her grandchildren, Chad Reeves, Chris Cook (Keri), Adam Cook (Amanda) and Rachel Short (Eric); her great grandchildren, Peyton Floyd, Brewer Floyd, Skylar Cook, Dylan Smart, Stormie Cook, Breezleigh Cook, Avery Cook, Hunter Cook, Brock Short and Kolt Short; and her close friends, Connie Hanson and Dale Howard. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, sister in laws.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, October 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Brown's Cemetery (10911 LA-34, Winnfield, LA 71483).
