He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Howard and Clara Rachel Carpenter Cockerham; his former wife Janice Richards Cockerham; his siblings, Howard Cockerham, Frances Williams and Cathy Franks; and his nephew Roger D. Lowery.
He is survived by: his wife Becky Johns Cockerham; his daughter Amy Cockerham Gardner (Jeff); his grandchildren, Jensen, Hannah, Caroline Gardner, Jo Ann Johns and Marjorie Richards; his siblings-in-law, David Johns (Anna), George Johns (Lori), Mark Johns (Velma), Lela Cockerham, Mary Ann Sullivan (Danny), Neica Murry, Alpha Boyett (Toby) and Gayla Little (Jamie); and his aunt Katherine Creel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or First Baptist Church of Winnfield's Youth Ministry.
