He was predeceased by: his wife Yancey Floyd Carruth; his parents, Ancil Carruth and Thelma Carruth; his son Matthew Joseph Carruth; and his brother William Massey Carruth.
He is survived by: his children, Stacey Foretich (Mark Foretich) of St. Francisville, Yancey Ann Carruth of Alexandria, Mark Carruth (Christine) of St. Francisville and Marlon Carruth (Lori) of Wilson; his sister Linda I. Carruth of Wilson; his grandchildren, Gavin, Ethan, Andrew, Hayes, Cannon, Macie, Kennedy, Eden, Josh, Jennifer and Elijah; and also Melody Bennett. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Wilson (6315 Bay St, Wilson, LA 70789). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
